If you’re short on time but trying to hold a more consistent yoga practice, the “30 Minutes and Done” series is the perfect choice for you.

This series consists of only 30-minute classes with Bryan Kest, designed to activate the body with yoga, create awareness, and touch a little of everything gently. The videos in this series hit every sweet spot - back muscles, upper body, standing poses, and more. If you’re looking to work your way into a more intense practice in the future, this is a great place to start.

This series could definitely be considered short classes, but since we have an amazing selection of 10 mins classes from our amazing instructor Desiree Crossman, these classes are short but tend to be more thorough and complete. If this is all you have time for you will feel like you did enough.

Qi Gong https://poweryoga.com/series/qigong/ https://poweryoga.com/series/qigong/#respond Fri, 18 Mar 2022 02:15:58 +0000 https://poweryogalive1.wpengine.com/?post_type=series&p=367104 Qi Gong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice - it aims to improve one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent.

Through each of these online Qi Gong classes, you feel a deep sense of inner stillness and an intimate awareness of Chi flow. You will feel a state of meditative presence. You may notice sensations through the body such as heat, tingling, electricity. These are normal and worth noticing but not something to focus on. Keep returning to the breath and the movement.

Start by practicing every other day if you can. To gain the optimal benefits from these practices you should practice every day if possible. If this isn’t possible then as many days through the week as you can.

Within a month of practicing one of the Qi Gong sets, you should begin to notice a significant difference in your practice. This is assuming you are practicing every day or every other day.

Tai Chi https://poweryoga.com/series/tai-chi/ https://poweryoga.com/series/tai-chi/#respond Wed, 16 Mar 2022 18:01:04 +0000 https://poweryogalive1.wpengine.com/?post_type=series&p=366806 Tai Chi, often described as “meditation in motion” is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

During these online tai chi classes, you can expect to feel a sense of balance and harmony and an overall deep connection to your center. You’ll also feel your skeletal alignment improving and strengthening. You’ll feel a lightness and flow to all of your movements as well as a powerful strength and connectedness to the Earth.
You could go through the whole series in 2-4 weeks but that’s not a challenge! Once you’ve learned the series, that's when the fun really starts.

To start, we recommend taking classes at least 3 days a week. However, the most beneficial way is to practice the form a few times, or what you know of it, every day. It is good to incorporate small parts of the practice daily to get the most out of it.

Healthy Backs https://poweryoga.com/series/healthy-backs/ https://poweryoga.com/series/healthy-backs/#respond Thu, 18 Mar 2021 20:46:18 +0000 https://poweryogalive1.wpengine.com/?post_type=series&p=339657 A yoga practice can help strengthen and stretch our back muscles, ultimately improving mobility. These shorter, half-hour classes take you through a series of poses to target this area by engaging your core and focusing on achieving a full range of motion in the hips through all planes.

Yoga for lower back pain relief works by allowing yourself to breathe into your muscles and your back - you’ll release tension that could contribute to lower back pain, tightness and strains.

You can expect the muscles that support your spine to become stronger. Enabling those muscles to be more supportive reduces the pressure on the discs. Ease of movement and range of motion should also increase. These can be practiced every other day if desired for as long as desired as these will also be a good substitute for any other exercise routine.

Yin Yoga https://poweryoga.com/series/yin-yoga/ https://poweryoga.com/series/yin-yoga/#respond Wed, 17 Jun 2020 20:56:29 +0000 https://staging.poweryoga.com/?post_type=series&p=305440 Unlike intense classes with various poses and tons of movement, the Yin Yoga series allows you to experience poses deeply and intentionally. Yin yoga postures are all about lengthening the connective tissue and increasing elasticity around the joints in areas including the hips, spine, pelvis, and chest. The difference between this and other classes? Each pose is held anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes.

Breathing deeply into each pose and allowing yourself to surrender, you’ll notice increased circulation, improved flexibility, and a sense of balance.

We recommend having props nearby, including:

  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • A bolster
  • Utilizing these props will help you comfortably and gently hold these longer poses while seated or lying down in a relaxed state.
From this series expect a deep relaxation like nothing else. This is a stress-busting style that’s the perfect antidote to today's busy and digital lifestyle. Feel free to do these daily or intersperse them with your normal yoga and fitness programs and classes. Don’t worry about overdoing these as long as you are not forceful within these poses.
